On 23rd February 2019, all members of Frontier International were invited to Kuching Stockist Centre (Megabest) to celebrate the new year with us - A special Chinese New Year Gathering & Health Talk by Dr SJ Jong.
All the members and attendees of the event were welcomed by a CNY opening speech. Later on, Dr SJ Jong was invited to the stage to give a Health Talk on “Genetic & Nutrition Personalisation”, which was the highlight of the event.
In the talk, Dr Jong explained the interplay between nutrition and genetics of an individual and how it is different for each individual. With personalised nutrition, it helps to develop a unique nutrition guidelines for each individual based on the combination of an individual’s genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors. A good nutrition is the baseline for a healthy lifestyle. Our body cannot function properly without them. Thus, interpendency with nutrition is inherent. Dr Jong explained further that each individual relationship with nutrition is different. Now, with modern genetics, we are able to know why and find out the neccesity nutrition needed by each individual through genetic testing. Based on the genetic test result, we can create a personalised supplement specifically required for an individual into their diet.
New upcoming products were also introduced in the talk; phytomelatonin for sleep, folic acid and cancer prevention products. The health talk ended with a Q&A session with Dr Jong.

The auspicious day is continued on with a remarkable lions dance performance with special appearance of the CNY Mascot (a cute baby Boar) and light refreshment. All the guests thoroughly enjoyed the lions dance performance and the delicious food.
In Chinese culture, the lion is a symbol of power, good fortune and wisdom. The dancing moves brings about longetivity, happiness and good luck. It also signifies everything new and good.

The Boar occupies the last position (12th0 in the Chinese zodiac animals and it symbolises wealth. Its chubby face and big ear are signs of fortune as well. According to the chinese astrology, 2019 is going to be full of joy, a year of friendship and love for all the zodiac signs; an auspicious year because the Pig attracts success in all the spheres of life.
